This course is specially designed for those candidates who have obtained a Student Pilots License (SPL) or a Private Pilots License (PPL), but are unable to complete the flying hours required for a Commercial Pilots License (CPL). The CFP course at CAA is designed not only for single engine flying. You can also add Multi Engine Rating, Ground Studies, Simulator Training and Instrument Rating as separate programmes.

Chimes Aviation Academy would give you a time bound schedule to complete the flying hours necessary for issue of a CPL with an instrument rating (IR).You would have the option of including a multi-engine rating in 200 hrs required for CPL , or you could do the multi-engine rating after you have completed 200 hrs on a single engine aircraft.

Based on the feedback from the airline industry it is strongly recommended that the candidates complete the multi-engine rating before applying for a job with an airline. To ensure that you complete your flying at an accelerated rate we recommend that you clear the written examinations for CPL on your own if you have not already cleared them.

This is a full time course but the duration of this course depends upon the candidate’s prior experience and accordingly the course is scheduled. Chimes Aviation Academy is one of the premier flight training schools in India. It offers its students world class training equipments and skilled trainers.

Eligibility Criteria:

Multi Engine Type Rating and Instrument Rating course has become the need of the hour. This course provides the candidates with an edge over others while applying for a job with the airlines operating worldwide. This training course equips you with the experience and skills which are supposed to be a pre requisite in the aviation industry these days.

Many aviation schools have been set up in India. Chimes Aviation Academy is one of the premier flight training academies which have world class training equipments and skilled trainers. It is very important to train under the able guidance of experienced trainers as they only can help you with the details of flying an aircraft. The training academy needs to be chosen judiciously keeping in mind your training requirements, your budget and also the kind of training being provided at the aviation academy.

In the Multi-engine Rating Course at Chimes Aviation Academy you would be given the Type Rating (TR) and Instrument Rating (IR) on a twin engine aircraft. The course curriculum covers airline oriented training in which you learn to fly the airway routes (like the airlines fly), doing instrument approaches and handling simulated emergencies like engine and other system failures. CAA would also give you adequate ground training to pass the DGCA ‘Technical-Specific’ written examination on the Piper Seneca IV aircraft. Notwithstanding the shortage of pilots in India, most of the airlines prefer to recruit CPL holders who have a multi-engine rating. It is our firm belief that armed with a multi-engine rating, you would have a clear advantage over single engine CPL holders in securing a job with an airline.

Minimum Eligibility

Educational Qualification

CPL/IR on Single Engine

Medical

Class I Medical (Indian)

Age

18 years on date of joining CAA

Nationality

As of now this course is offered only to Indian Nationals

Aviation Qualification

CPL/IR

For those considering a career as a pilot, it is very necessary to choose the right aviation school. It all starts with a dream that you want to be a pilot want to explore the vast skies and experience the freedom. Just as it had started with the Wright Brothers, it has now begun with you. It is the passion for flying and for other things related to aviation. But this does not have an explanation!

First thing that you need to decide upon is if you want to be an airline pilot or want to pursue it as your hobby. Accordingly you need to search the flight schools. If you want to learn to fly for your personal use then you might want to get associated with one of the many flying clubs. They would help you to learn to fly and also you would come in contact with people of similar interests with whom you could share the latest in aviation.

If you want to be a pilot in one of the best airlines, then a flight school which also would assist you in getting a CPL would be a good option. You could get enrolled in the best of the aviation schools and learn to fly and simultaneously build up on your flying hours. Chimes Aviation Academy is India’s Premier & Largest, fully integrated Aviation training academy. CAA is driving a culture of excellence in all facets of the academy. Our “World-class, global scale academy” has the latest fleet, comprehensive curriculum and renowned faculty consisting of aviation specialist with global exposure to deliver comprehensive training for professional pilots in India.

Once you have decided on the type of training you want, it is very important to seek out the best of trainers in the industry. Hence, you must look out for those aviation academies which have the best of trainers. Your flight instructors will obviously play a vital role in the type of pilot that you become. You need to speak with the instructors at the flight schools and determine if they will meet your needs and goals.

Also, keep in mind your budget. Choose the training academy that helps you to meet your objectives and suits your budget.

Based on your goals, you need to do a bit of research. Have an idea of what ratings and licenses you will want to obtain. Additionally, you need to know what the difference between a license and rating is!

Before you start spending money on flying, you should know the medical requirements for the licenses that you seek. Obviously, you don’t want to waste money on training if you don’t meet the medical requirements!

Speak with previous and current students of the flight schools you are researching. This is one of the most critical steps. With this step, you will develop a true understanding of the inner workings of the flight school.

Learn To Fly

Many people would love to learn to fly light aircraft, but think it is not for them. They assume they are not clever enough, or too uncoordinated, or do not have enough money. But flying is within the reach of most ordinary people, if they really want to do it.

The one question that comes to mind is that who all can learn to fly. The answer is…almost anyone. Similarly, a student pilot is not allowed to fly solo before a certain age, often 16. But one can start flying training at any age, however young.

At the other end of the scale, people in their 70s and 80s have successfully learned to fly. Although aviation tends to attract more men, women have always held pilot’s licenses, the first woman having gained hers almost 100 years ago. One does not have to be tremendously intelligent to learn to fly; there are exams to be passed, but they are not all that difficult. Similarly, anyone who has well enough coordination to learn to drive a car could probably learn to fly a plane.

Many aviation clubs have opened up which provide pilot training in India. These aviation schools help you to clear the pilot training exam and also provide you the requisite number of hours for the license. You can choose from the training programmes according to your needs and your time schedules.

One of the premier aviation academies in India are Chimes Aviation academy which provides many training programmes. Current courses include full time courses like Commercial Pilots License with Instrument Rating & Multi Engine Training (CPL- IR/ME) and Private Pilots License and short term customized courses like Multi Engine rating, Instrument Rating, License Endorsement and building flying hours for CPL and PPL, under the ‘Chimes Flying Programme’. These courses are available around the year.

Launched in June 2008, CAA has achieved many milestones like, the largest operating fleet, more than 6000 Hrs of flying, 60+ resident students, all this and much more. CAA has also set new milestones on quality and processes acknowledged by the fact that CAA is India’s first and only ISO 9001: 2008 certified Pilot Training institute and also is amongst the very few privileged ‘Cessna Pilot Centers’ in the world. CAA has exclusive access to 3 airfields in Madhya Pradesh, Dhana (current operating base) & Baihar and Umaria

CAA offers DGCA approved fully integrated courses which are supported with Single and Multi engine aircraft, the latest Garmin glass cockpit, IT enabled Ground School, an advanced simulator and a large hangar built to global standards. Complete training is conducted in-house at the academy and does not require any external facility use.

CAA’s 1st academy was launched in June 2008 at Dhana (Dist Sagar) with capacity of 120 CPL (Commercial Pilot License) per year. Strategically based at Dhana (Sagar), CAA enjoys almost 320 days of clear weather thereby allowing for maximum flying. CAA follows a rigorous evaluation & selection process for student screening and induction. Strict adherence to quality & ethics ensures our commitment of delivering excellence within defined timelines i.e. CPL course completion in a record period of one year.

CAA is committed to use most modern and effective training systems, faculty and global best practices to impart safe and comprehensive training for professional pilots in the defined duration.
